Huawei India’s ‘ABC’ proposition for mobile broadband solutions
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  17 May 2010

The ‘A’ in ‘ABC’ stands for ARPU, a factor of extremely prime importance for Indian service providers who till now have failed to keep a check on the dwindling numbers. Huawei says its mobile broadband solutions can help operators realise increased ARPUs by way of enabling delivery of targeted and differentiated services.

The ‘B’ stands for Bandwidth and Huawei promises that its solutions will ensure network scalability, backhaul compatibility as well as address issues of core network.

The ‘C’ in ABC stands for Cost and according to Huawei it works closely with operators to precisely identify the costs to be incurred in offering such services as well as offering solutions to keep this factor at the bare minimum levels.

“ Our solutions such as SingleRAN, Single Core of multiple functionality which has built-in circuit as well as packet network components as well as all these solutions conforming to ATCA (advanced telecomputing architecture) standards  differentiate our mobile broadband solution portfolio and we are eagerly awaiting to partner with Indian service providers as they prepare to rollout what can be considered the new generation of services to be delivered over the mobile broadband medium,” concludes Sethu Raman.

The company recently showcased its mobile broadband solutions under the ‘E2E MBB’ (end-to-end mobile broadband) roadshow in Delhi and Mumbai.

Product pricing will be one concern which will be deterrent of Mobile Broadband spread even after 3G launch.. About Rs. 8000 capex spending by customer on broadband CPE will be a challenge!! Some has to subsidize it and I think it will be operator.. happily doing so..
