Zylog launches Wi5 Broadband services in Puducherry

Zylog Systems India Ltd launched on Friday Wi5, Broadband services in Puducherry, offering high speed, unlimited download and highly affordable internet experience to the people of the union territory. Zylog Wi5 has already established its presence in over 150 towns and cities across India.

 

Wi5 Broadband, an initiative by Zylog, is a high-speed fixed wireless broadband connection which will offer various unlimited download internet plans starting from Rs.499 with speeds ranging from 256 kbps to 1Mbps. The company retails network subscription to individual users on an advance rental basis. A wireless connection upto the customer’s home makes it absolutely hassle free.

 

 “We have totally invested Rs 90 crore in our Wi5 services in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Punjab and Goa region. Today we are happy to announce Puducherry as the 155th Wi5 location in India. Puducherry is a popular holiday spot and a major international tourist destination, which makes high speed Internet services imperative. The city has also undergone rapid changes in the last decade and has seen growth in the industrial and trade sector as well. We recognize that the region has a huge potential market for Zylog’s Wi5 Broadband services and confident that our service will be well received in the city”, said Mr. S. Venkatesh, Chief Operating Officer, Wi5 Broadband, Zylog Systems India Ltd

“Nearly 73 per cent of our presence is in underserved small towns while the rest is in cities. During the current fiscal, the company plans to add another 110 small towns and 40 cities, he further added.”

Zylog’s Wi5 Broadband service works by setting up Wi-Fi nodes on Towers at strategic locations that connect the individual subscribers wirelessly through CPEs (Customer Premise Equipments), enabling customers to stay connected with the world.
