Tejas Networks wins Rs 111 cr order for Indian Navy’s communication network from Sterlite Tech

Sterlite Tech which recently bagged Rs 3500 crore worth Indian Navy deal has given an order of Rs 111 crore to Tejas Networks for the country wide digital communications project.

As a part of this order, Tejas Networks will supply its terabit capacity DWDM systems and Layer-3 multi gigabit ethernet switches, the company said in a release on Monday.

The Indian Navy’s communication network will link multiple Indian naval offices and India-administered islands.

Sanjay Nayak, Managing Director and CEO of Tejas Networks said “We are delighted to be a part of this prestigious communication project for the Indian Navy as a technology partner for Sterlite Technologies for DWDM and Layer-3 Multi Gigabit Ethernet switches”.

Mr. K.S Rao, CEO – telecom services business, Sterlite Technologies said “We are happy to work with Tejas Networks to execute this project of national importance”.

The Rs 3,500-crore project given to Sterlite Tech is a multi-year contract, which, according to the company, would include design, execution, operations and maintenance of the Navy Digital Network.
