Airtel Nigeria adjudged as best service operator
TT Correspondent |  |  12 May 2012

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has adjudged Airtel as the mobile telecommunications operator with the best service quality in the country by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), reports Daily times NG.

The company got this recognition on the strength of its performance. The NCC, in its audit report for March and April, said Airtel recorded the best performance in call set up success rate, drop call rate, call completion rate and traffic channel congestion.

"We began the journey of building a network with the best quality of service about 18 months ago. I am glad today that our efforts have started yielding positive results," said Rajan Swaroop, chief executive officer and managing director of Airtel Nigeria.

"But this is just the beginning, we will not relent in actualizing our vision of being the most loved brand in the daily lives of Nigerians. We will continue to delight telecom consumers with a robust network and innovative products and services," he added.
