CBI arrests top BSNL official in bribe case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday arrested a top BSNL official for taking bribe in Kolkata.

 

The Chief General Manager of BSNL, telecom factory circle in Kolkata, SK Satyarthi has been arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau of CBI''s Kolkata branch.

 

He was caught red handed while taking bribe of Rs 3.25 lakhs from a supplier at hotel Taj Bengal on Saturday night.

 

He was arrested after a complaint was filed against him which said that he was allegedly demanding a bribe for awarding a contract of cable supply. The CBI had laid down a trap at the hotel where the alleged exchange of money was to take place, according to reports.
