Now Viber crosses 40 million registered users in India

Viber on Wednesday crossed 40 million registered users in India since they started operations in India in December 2013 with13 million users. Globally they have 516 million unique users across 193 countries.

Viber offers free messaging and HD-quality calls to their consumers. Last year, the company released Viber Public Chats, Currently there are more than 50 public chats in India which allows users to discover, share and interact with conversations, communities and content on mobile.

Viber is available on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Linux, Windows, Mac and Symbian devices.

"This is a significant achievement for Viber and its users in India. Within a very short time span we have tripled our reach in India" said, Anubhav Nayyar, Country Head, Viber India.
