Nokia banking on head start advantage to fend off Google’s Android challenge
TT Bureau |  |  27 Jun 2008

Nokia CEO appeared unfazed over the buzz surrounding Goggle’s open source mobile handset platform, Android.

“While there are 200 million devices that runs on Symbian worldwide, ther are zero devices operating on the Adroid platform," Nokia President and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo suggesting that the head start gained by Nokia will help it to overcome any challenge from Google.

"We welcome the competition from Google," he added.

Android is expected to be launched in second half of this year.
