Intex Technologies unveils INTEX Hero for rural consumers

Intex Technologies has unveiled a new mobile handset- INTEX Hero, for the consumers in tier II & III regions, and towns with long and frequent power cuts.

 

Bundled with a powerful 1800mAh rating battery, the mobile phone provides 45 days stand-by battery life. When at full charge, the battery gives a talk time of 9 hours. The INTEX Hero also boasts of 5 LED lights along its panel, which can be used as a torch and run for 24 hours.

 

Meanwhile, commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar, DGM-Telecom, Intex Technologies, said, “Out of the total subscriber base for mobile phones, more than a quarter comes from rural India. The acceptance rates of mobile phones is growing at a fast pace amongst rural and semi-urban consumers. INTEX Hero promises to address their basic needs of convenience and communication and signifies a focused brand line expansion to offer more value to our customers.”

 

Other features of INTEX Mobile include- FM radio, camera, expandable memory, MP3 audio player and 1000 contacts phonebook memory to name a few.

 

The mobile handset will be priced at Rs. 2999/.
