MCD provides relief to telcos over tower sealing

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) said that it will not conduct sealing of telecom towers but has asked operators to apply for regularization of all such towers within a month.

MCD’s Standing Committee approved a new policy on mobile towers.

The new guidelines say that operators will now have to pay Rs 5 lakh from Rs one lakh paid by them presently towards installing a telecom tower.
