JT selects Infotech Enterprises to deploy integrated GIS solution
TT Correspondent |  |  04 Sep 2012

Infotech Enterprises Europe Limited, a subsidiary of Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a leading global engineering solutions company, has been selected by JT, for the deployment of an integrated GIS solution to support the rollout of a Fiber-To-The Home (FTTH) network in Jersey, Europe.

JT is an innovative and progressive global communications supplier with a vision to become the partner of choice for global telecoms innovation. Its high-quality offering encompasses the products and services expected from a cutting-edge Tier 1 telecoms operator – from voice and data, consultancy, co-location, internet, security, cloud backup and mobile, to support services and managed services. Supporting both domestic and business customers, JT is also widely recognized as the largest provider of data services in the Channel Islands including hosting and e-gaming.

JT is replacing the current copper network in Jersey with a new FTTH infrastructure by 2016. This will allow the 90,000 people who reside on the island to have access to ultra-fast broadband connectivity as well as ultra-high-definition television (UHDTV) and community-based applications. The implemented solution should be scalable in such a way as to equip JT for robust growth and future service offerings.

Infotech Enterprises was chosen as a business partner in conjunction with Telcordia (a subsidiary of Ericsson) for the implementation of the complete project, not least because of Infotech’s outstanding experience and expertise in this field.
