Idea Cellular is the 3rd largest mobile operator in India. It has maintained its track record of being the fastest growing operator in the market, recording an increase of 0.5% in Revenue Market Share (RMS) in Q4FY14 on a QoQ basis; and an increase of 1.3% in FY14 on a YoY basis. The Revenue Market Share data has been derived from the Revenue performance report released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI), recently.
 
As per the report, Idea’s RMS grew to 16.6% in Q4FY14, an increase of 0.5% from the previous quarter; and 16.2% in FY14, an increase of 1.3% from the previous year, making it the best performing operator in the Indian market.
 
Idea witnessed YoY revenue growth of 18.6% in FY14, double the growth rate of the industry which grew at 9.3%.
 
Even on a quarterly basis, Idea’s growth rate was more than double the industry growth. In Q4FY14 when the industry grew at 2.5% in revenue on a QoQ basis, Idea’s revenue grew by 5.7%.
