DoT invites bids for e-auction
TT Correspondent |  |  27 Oct 2014

The government has finally initiated the process of auction of spectrum. The department of telecommunications (DoT) has invited bids from e-auction companies for this process. A Times of India’s sister concern was responsible for conducting earlier auction of spectrum.

DoT has asked for Request of Proposal for selection of an agency to conduct e-auction of spectrum on simultaneous multiple-round ascending auction (SMRA) pattern in the 22 telecom service areas (TSAs).

Interested parties should submit bids by November 11, 2014.

DoT will hold a pre-bid conference with interested parties on October 27, with the companies that are interested in e-auction.

For last round of auction, DoT paid Rs five crore fixed fee.
