Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi raises the Net neutrality issue in the in Lok Sabha

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday raised the Net neutrality issue in the in Lok Sabha and gave a notice for the adjournment of the Question Hour and wants the Lok Sabah to debate on net neutrality and also accused the Narendra Modi government of trying to give away internet space to corporate.

Addressing the issue in Lok Sabha, Rahul said, if government wanted to protect net neutrality then why did they start the consultation process and like land is being snatched away, Internet is also being snatched away. It's going to affect the youth of nation.

Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Wednesday that the Modi government is serious about the net neutrality issue and Telecom Commission will look into the recommendation of TRAI and then take final decision.

Ravi Shankar Prasad also said, "We want internet for 125 crore Indians. Don't worry, we will protect the future of the Net".
