Court allows Raja to visit Tamil Nadu

The special CBI court on Wednesday allowed the former telecom minister A Raja, the prime accused in 2G spectrum allocation case to visit his home state Tamil Nadu between June 8 and June 30.

 

"A Raja is allowed to visit his home state Tamil Nadu from June 8 to June 30 subject to conditions as were imposed upon him in the bail order dated May 15," said special CBI Judge O P Saini while allowing his plea.

 

Raja was granted bail last month with many conditions including a ban on his visit to Tamil Nadu as well as the Department of Telecom (DoT).

 

He was also directed to not to make any inducement, threat or promise, either directly or indirectly, to any person acquainted with the cas.

 

He was also directed  to surrender his passport with the court and that he should remain present before it during the hearing.
