  The Delhi High Court has issued notice to Unitech Ltd's seeking response to Unitech Wireless (Tamil Nadu) Pvt Ltd's plea against a Company Law Board (CLB) order stopping their joint venture, known as Uninor from selling its business and assets.
Justice Indermeet Kaur issued notice to Unitech Ltd and fixed the matter for hearing on August 28.
Earlier this month the Company Law Board had restrained telecom operator Uninor from auctioning its assets.
Unitech which hold 32.75 per cent stake in Uninor had moved the Company Law Board, seeking stay on auctioning or any other sale or transfer of assets of Unitech Wireless, its telecom joint venture with Norwegian giant Telenor.
Uninor, the joint venture between the two companies that provides mobile services in India, had announced that it will auction its existing business, including its assets. In case, it is not possible, it will liquidate the company as its licences will be cancelled on September 7. |
