State-run MTNL which has operations in Mumabi and Delhi has started providing mobile connections, landline and broadband at the doorstep of customers under single window service.

The service will be charged as per normal SMS rate of the operator

The connections can be availed by just sending an SMS or communicating online, said MTNL Executive Director A K Bhargava.

He said that anyone having mobile connection of any operator can send an SMS to 9868552121 and get a new landline, broadband or mobile connection of MTNL.

"MTNL dolphin customers can access this service on short code 52121 which is toll free for them," Bhargava said.

The ED added the company has started similar facility through its website as well.

"Once customer reaches us through phone or online medium, the lead is immediately send to sales team which through their retail network, delivers the services to customers at their premises," he said.
