Govt admits surge in subscribers congesting networks; rules out separate ombudsman for complaints

Minister of State for Telecom, Sachin Pilot today admitted that call drop issues were increasing by the day but ruled out setting up a separate ombudsman to address consumer complaints.

He was replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha.

The Minister added that BSNL and MTNL were upgrading their respective technologies to adapt to the situation and improve quality.

Ombudsman for Customer Complaints on Drop Calls and False Billing is a must if the government wants to be fair with the Indian consumers.
