Yahoo India R&D appoints Anindo Roy as VP of India Solutions

Yahoo India Research & Development, the second largest R&D centre for Yahoo! globally, has appointed Anindo Roy as VP of India Solutions under its Media Engineering Group.

 

The Media Engineering group is a part of the Media organization at Yahoo! that brings premium content experiences to consumers and advertisers through media properties like the Yahoo! Homepage, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, omg!, Yahoo! Cricket, etc.

 

In this role, Anindo will drive the regional Media products for Yahoo. The Media Engineering group in India oversees platform and publishing tools, as well as engineering for all regional media products.

 

Anindo joins Yahoo with 21 years of management and development experience in the software Industry, in the US and India. Most recently, Anindo was VP Engineering and Site leader for Fair Isaac India (FICO), a leader in predictive analytics. At FICO, Anindo played a pivotal role in transforming the India center into a global development center owning complete product delivery responsibilities and development initiatives. 

 

Prior to joining FICO, Anindo held various leadership positions at Oracle, which included a 12 year stint at the Oracle HQ in Redwood Shores, California, and 2 year stint at Oracle India Development Center in Bangalore. 

 

Anindo is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and holds a Masters degree from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA. He also holds several patents in database and real time collaboration areas under his name.
