AT&T appoints Mike Welch as president of AT&T AdWorks
TT Correspondent |  |  08 Jun 2012

AT&T has appointed Mike Welch as president of AT&T AdWorks. Welch will report to Jeff Weber, president for Content and Advertising at AT&T. The appointment is effective immediately.

AT&T’s Home Solutions division oversees U-verse TV, broadband and voice services for AT&T's 22-state local wireline operations. AT&T AdWorks will continue to grow its multiscreen advertising offering, which includes TV, mobile and online platforms.

Since AT&T AdWorks’ rebranding a year ago, it has experienced accelerated growth and presence in the marketplace and it works directly with national brand clients and specialized media agencies.

“I am pleased to join AT&T AdWorks at such an exciting time,” said Welch. “Due to the new strategic alignment, AT&T AdWorks will be better equipped to help our clients connect all the pieces making it easy to buy, manage, and analyze multiplatform campaigns.”

Prior to his current appointment, Welch was vice president of Sales for the Southwest Region of AT&T Advertising Solutions. Previously, he held several executive level positions with AT&T spanning Consumer Services, AT&T Business Solutions and Sales Operations. He joined AT&T in 1997 after spending seven years in sales at The Pillsbury Company.
