Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise announces new appointments for sales and marketing and communications business division

ALE, operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand has announced changes in the senior leadership team with the appointment of Matthieu Destot to lead global Sales & Marketing, while Nicholas Brunel will head up the Communications Business Division.
 
Matthieu Destot will take over as Executive Vice President for Global Sales and Marketing, effective immediately. Matthieu Destot has an extensive background in both sales and marketing and business line management. Most recently he lead the transformation of the Communication Business Division, placing a focus on specific market segments for growth and accelerating the shift to new business models. In prior roles, Matthieu delivered significant revenue and market-share growth achievements as sales leader of the Asia-Pacific and France sales regions for ALE.
 
Matthieu Destot will replace Jan Zuurbier, who will continue with the company as an Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise board member. Jan Zuurbier will focus his responsibilities on strategic planning to steer the future of ALE.

Nicolas Brunel, who previously led the Medium, Large and Vertical (MLV) Business Unit within the Communications Business Division, is now Executive Vice President of the Communications Business Division, taking over from Matthieu Destot.  Nicholas Brunel has over 16 years experience in telecommunications and gained international expertise in enterprise services and customer care domains as the leader of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise global Customer Care organization.
 
Both Destot and Brunel will be members of the Executive Management Team, reporting to the CEO, Jack Chen.
 
“These new appointments will support our efforts as ALE continues to focus its transformation strategy on expanding market reach, improving positioning in vertical sectors, and accelerating the shift to cloud-based business models,” said Jack Chen, CEO, ALE.
