Former Bharti Airtel India CEO Sanjay Kapoor appointed to Saudi Telecom board

Sanjay Kapoor, former chief executive officer of India & South Asia operations at Bharti Airtel, has been elected as a non-executive member on the board of the Saudi Telecom Company.

Kapoor was the chief executive officer of India & South Asia operations at Bharti Airtel from March 2010 till 2013, and spent nearly 15 years at the India telecoms market leader where he joined in 1998.

After Airtel, Kapoor assumed the role of the chairman at Indian handset maker Micromax in 2014, for nearly a year.
