Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies is rapidly outpacing its western world counterparts in the global telecom gear market. Market research firm, Dell’Oro ranks Huawei at number 2 position with a  market share of 20% in global mobile gear market.  Ericsson still maintained clear lead with 32 % market share but it was stagnant when compared on a yoy basis.

Huawei’s market share was 11 % during the same period last year.

NSN meanwhile saw its market share dip from 24 % last year to 20% at the end of Q3.

Huawei is also seen at the top in Optical Networking market for Q2 and Q3 2009.
