Videocon launches world's first satellite controlled AC for Indian market
TT Correspondent |  |  17 Feb 2016

Videocon on Tuesday launched eight split AC models under the 'Aryabot' range priced between Rs 34,000-Rs 39,000. The world's first satellite controlled AC.

Aryabot air conditioners can be pair with smartphones and smartwatches, allowing GPS access. The features responds to the user's GPS location to switch off the AC when one leaves the house and switches it on before one enters the premises.

To reduce power usage a feature called Sleep Graph can be used, where the user can draw the temperature pattern while one sleeps.

Aryabot comes with a dedicated USB slot for a web cam connection. The web cam streams live video on the smartphone through the integrated application.

Aryabot can also sense the outside temperature and automatically adjust to set temperature inside.

Aryabot also has the ability to contact the service centre on its own and log in service requests.

With the launch, Videocon aims to capture 15% of the AC market in India by end of FY 2016.
