NEC Corporation announced that Japan’s UQ Communications has expanded its WiMAX services using NEC’s solutions.

UQ Communications expanded its WiMAX base station count from 4000 to 6000.

As part of the contract, NEC deployed its PasoWings BS 202 base station operating in 2.5 GHz.
