TT Bureau |  |  13 Jan 2009

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), Bahrain’s telecom regulator said that Saudi Telecom is the only bidder to acquire licence as third mobile service provider in the country.

Earlier four firms had registered for the auctions. But ultimately only Saudi Telecom participated in the auction.

The financial bid is scheduled to be opened on January 22 subject to fulfillment of technical requirements.
