  Microsoft India announced the appointment of Rajan Anandan as the new Managing Director of Sales Marketing and Services businesses in India. Additionally Jaspreet Bindra has been appointed as the head of the Entertainment and Devices (E&D) Division, India.
Rajan Anandan comes in from Dell where he was associated as VP and Country GM. He is credited with growing the business revenues of Dell India from $250 million to $ 800 million. Anandan comes from a mechanical engineering background and is an alumnus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and also holds a master’s degree from Standford University in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
He will join Microsoft from September 1 and will report to Ravi Venkatesan, Chairman Microsoft India. He has over 16 years of professional experience which includes his stint at McKinsey as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Anandan said "Microsoft as a company has shaped the evolution of the global computing industry over the past 30 years and is poised to play a leading role in every major new technology arena over the coming decade. I am thrilled to be joining the Microsoft India team at such an exciting time.”
Meanwhile Jaspreet Bindra who currently holds the position of Country Manager, Online Services group (OSG) at Microsoft India has been promoted to head the entertainment and devices division. Microsoft’s E&D division comprises of the Interactive Entertainment Business (Xbox and Games for Windows businesses); including the highly popular Xbox 360, the Entertainment Business (Microsoft’s digital entertainment efforts in music, TV and video); the Consumer Productivity Experiences Business (the mice and keyboards business), and the Mobile and Embedded Business. |
