The BSNL board appears to have made up its mind on merger with ITI as per the wishes of the government. A report says that the merger between ITI and BSNL is in final stage of negotiations with the merger likely to be completed by December.

The move is likely to face opposition from the BSNL Unions who are completely against such a merger. According to these Unions, ITI with struggling financials will only add to the financial woes of BSNL.
