Aethra, a manufacturer of video-conferencing products has signed up Guatemala-based CVS Hightech, for distribution of its video communications products across Central America, where the latter caters its services.
CVS Hightech has good reach in the Central American market and serves the surrounding states of El Salvador, Panama, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, as well as Guatemala itself, claimed the tie-up.
While commenting on the agreement, Marco Viezzoli, CEO of Aethra said, “Video conferencing technology is particularly important in regions where small rural communities are widely dispersed and have difficulties reaching larger centers to access services. The versatility, mobility, functionality and above all ease-of-use of Aethra technology makes it ideal for inter-community projects such as distance learning. In partnership with CVS Hightech, we believe that Aethra technology will provide exciting new opportunities for the Central American market.”
