ZTE inks pact with German Distributor VITEC to sell video conferencing systems in Germany
TT Correspondent |  |  03 Sep 2012

ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices, has joined hands with VITEC Distribution, headquartered in Mainz, Germany, to sell video conferencing systems in Germany.

The agreement allows the partners to jointly market video conferencing terminals and servers to enterprise customers.

The German ICT (Information and Communication Technology) market is one of the largest in Europe, where small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for over 99.7% of firms. With its High-Definition (HD) audio and video solutions, ZTE introduces a high quality but cost-effective and user-friendly way for SMEs to start using video conferencing without the cost of expensive video bridges and superfluous exchange services.

The T700 HD video conferencing terminal, ZTE’s flagship product, has been designed specifically to meet the needs of enterprise customers. Easily installed into meeting rooms, the device features 1080p resolution and supports broadband audio. The T700 HD video terminal delivers excellent audio and video signal, perfect for a business environment.

The ZXV10 M900 is ZTE’s HD video conferencing server and supports up to 20 end user devices and 720p, 1080i, 1080p high definition and broadband audio. Through its universal port, the M900 is able to support a multi-speed access meeting.

"We are delighted to have been selected by ZTE as the new partner for the enterprise business in Germany. ZTE’s experience in the mobile sector will provide us with an advantage in the video conferencing market,” explained Dr. Wilhelm Mettner, CEO, VITEC Group.

"As one of the leading global vendors in video conferencing systems, it is our goal to make high-end enterprise products affordable for medium and smaller businesses,” said John Lee, General Manager, ZTE Germany. “Our new distribution partner VITEC will help us to foster the mid-tier market sector in Germany by delivering cost-efficient, easy-to-use and interoperable solutions. The co-operation with VITEC marks another step by ZTE Deutschland towards the expansion of our enterprise channel business in Germany.”

ZTE is the fifth largest developer and manufacturer of telecommunications equipment and network solutions worldwide. To date, the company has delivered more than 100,000 video conference endpoints worldwide including the US, UK and Italy. In the first half of 2012, ZTE’s sales revenue increased 70% year-on-year in the enterprise market.
