Leading telecom operator Vodafone has rolled out a new plan for its prepaid users. The company has introduced an yearly plan of Rs 1,499 which is valid for 365 days. This new plan from the service provider also include Vodafone Play subscription and unlimited national roaming facility.
Under Rs 1,499, Vodafone offers unlimited national and local calling with 100 SMS per day. Along with this, users will also get 1GB data per day which means users will get the total data of 365GB. In case users will exhaust the 1GB data limit then users will be charged 50 paise per MB.
With this plan, the company has also announced that it is doing away with the daily FUP limit for calling. This means that now the users don’t have to worry about the daily FUP limit of 250 minutes for calling. Earlier, Vodafone used to charge its users for calling if they exhaust the daily calling limit of 250 minutes.
The new plan of Rs 1,499 from Vodafone will compete against the Rs 1,699 plan of Reliance Jio. Under Rs 1,699 plan Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio offers unlimited calling with 100 SMS and 1.5GB data per day. The plan also comes with the validity of 365 days and its users will get total of 547.5GB data. In case the users exhaust the data limit then their internet speed will come down to 64kbps. Along with this, the Jio users will also get access to JioTV, JioMovies, JioSaavn and other apps.
Last month, Vodafone rolled out a new plan of Rs 169 for its prepaid users. Under Rs 169 plan, the telecom operator offers unlimited local and national calling facility with 100 SMS per day. It is interesting to note that the daily FUP limit of 250 minutes on calling has been removed from this plan as well. The recharge pack also offers 1GB data per day and it comes with the validity of 28 days. This means that the Vodafone users will get total of 28GB data under Rs 169 plan of Vodafone.
