SMEs to drive growth in global managed IT and telecom services market

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) are set to attain important position in business plans of IT and telecom vendors as the segment is expected to contribute heavilty into the future growth of managed IT and telecom services globally.

 

A report published by IE Market Research Corp (IEMR) says that SMEs are increasingly using some type of managed services pertaining to VoIP, email, storage, and networking.

 

The study says that issues of importance to SMEs include , data integrity, total cost of ownership savings, service quality, a local presence, and focus on core operations that SMEs are engaged in. Further SMEs in emerging markets like India, China and Brazil prefer to have local presence of the vendors and this turns out to be a key criteria for their decision making process.

 

The survey ends up with saying that demand of managed services is strong in the financial services, media, and IT sectors.
