L&T Infotech wins multi-million dollar contract from Infineon Technologies

Germany-based semiconductor manufacturers, Infineon Technlogies, announced Wednesday that it has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited (L&T Infotech), an India-based IT services and business solutions provider.  

 

The multi-year contract envisages L&T Infotech to operate, maintain and develop SAP solutions within Infineon''s enterprise landscape and help Infineon optimize its IT operations, enhance operational efficiency and support the IT technology roadmap. These services will be provided out of Germany, Singapore and India.

Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Michael Schmelmer, Chief Information Officer of Infineon Technologies AG, said, “This engagement with L&T Infotech provides a cornerstone of our sourcing strategy and another important step on our path to constantly optimize our TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)”.

“This engagement reaffirms our commitment to building lasting business partnerships with our clients. L&T Infotech is strongly building its presence in Europe, and Germany in particular. We will help Infineon optimize their operations to achieve their business objectives of meeting the three central needs of the modern society – energy efficiency, communications and security,” added Sudip Banerjee, Chief Executive Officer, L&T Infotech.
