TT Correspondent |  Chandigarh |  07 Mar 2008

Bharti Airtel announced the launch of a mobile back-up service, which will allow subscribers to create a back-up for their phone data.

"It copies the data in a secure manner to Airtel''s Mobile Phone Backup system and enables the customer to restore the saved data on his new or existing phone, whenever the need arises," said a company statement.

The service would be available for both GPRS and non-GPRS phones, the statement said, adding that the monthly subscription charges for the service is Rs 30.
