Mywaves inks mobile content deal with MTV Networks
TT Bureau |  |  31 Mar 2008

Mywaves has signed a deal with MTV Networks to come up with an application that enables user to download free, ad-supported video to their phones.

It will bring additional content from the company’s top TV series to its platform. This includes MTV’s Jackass and VH1’s Best Week Ever. MTV will also provide content from its Web platforms like Atom Entertainment and Gametrailers.com.

Rajeev Raman, Mywaves’ CEO and founder said “In 2007, 18 million users downloaded content via Mywaves, and in the U.S., the platform now reaches more than 2 million unique users per month. Due to its growing audience and wide collection of recognizable content, we’re finally in a position to talk to advertisers”.
