Actai networks, developer and operator of mobile solutions in Europe and Asia, announced the launch of beta version of C2Call, a web-based telephone service that allows anyone using a Window, Linux or Apple computer to make browser-based international phone calls free of charge.
According to the company, one has to first log in using email address and a password to access the service; followed by an invitation via email to anyone who wants to talk with. The service doesn’t require registration and therefore the counterpart just needs to click the link in the email message to access the service.
The beta version of C2Call is said to function by loading a Java widget temporarily into Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera and any other Internet browsers that supports JavaScript. And the widget adds VOIP function to the browser.
Speaking on the occasion, Martin Feuerhahn, director of Actai Networks GmbH said, “This is the world''s true first browser-based VOIP software. It works just like Web-based email, instantly, to anyone on the Web, at home or at the office. And they don't even need to sign up for the service.” |
