Idea Cellular introduces mobile money transfer services

Idea Cellular in partnership with Tata Communications, UAE-based Etisalat and HSBC India has come up with a pilot service offering mobile-based money remittances for expatriates in UAE. At the initial phase this service will be extended to its over 2 million users in Kerala.

 

Pradeep Shrivastav, chief marketing officer, Idea Cellular, opines that this mobile base service will be effective and path breaking to help them further build their leadership position in the Kerala circle.

 

The service will enable expatriates in UAE to transfer money to their relatives back home via mobile phones. Under the deal Etisalat will render money remittance security, Tata Communications will provide central hub for the service while HSBC will be responsible for fund transfer and disbursal in India along with its partner Mashreq in UAE.
