TT Bureau |  |  08 May 2008

BT, in an effort to re-enter the mobile handset devices offering, has now launched broadband mobile device which will enable its subscribers to access internet while being mobile.

BT’s “BT Total Broadband Anywhere” offering to its customers includes a complete broadband package for home and mobile internet alongwith a HTC smartphone and the package starts at 23.99 pounds per month for the first three months.

Warren Buckley, BT’s group director of mobile and convergence foresees that customers may even sacrifice their ordinary mobile for the BT device. Further he added, “Some customers (in trials) have taken the device and carried on using a mobile phone. A lot of people will try the device, and when their contract runs out they will move their mobile phone (service) to us.”
