Alcatel-Lucent and Quantum join hands to work towards development of terrestrial and satellite mobile broadcast solutions for the mobile TV market.

According to the two companies, the association will help them to develop new mobile TV business opportunities as their solution will enable access to mobile TV services on Portable Multimedia Players (PMP) and Automotive digital set up boxes.

Quantum said this new cooperation will make use of the open DVB-SH mobile broadcast standard and help the company to expand its position in the market.
