 Tata Teleservices announced that it will provide Qualcomm’s BREW solution offering advanced and effective data services, to the subscribers of Virgin Mobile in India.
The BREW platform will offer Virgin Mobile users innovative and simple mobile content services like entertainment (gaming, sports, astrology), music and messaging applications, says the alliance. Further the subscribers will be able to visit the company’s V-Bytes data portal to access free Virgin selected content and other targeted applications at daily charges of Rs 5.
Deval Parikh, chief officer of handsets, VAS & Procurement for Virgin Mobile India said, “The BREW solution was a natural fit for Virgin Mobile as it allows us to coordinate with the global BREW developer community, which includes a number of regional applications, for advanced data services on our current range of six handsets.”
