BSNL has reportedly entered into a partnership with Contakt Technical Solutions, a data provider, on a revenue sharing basis under which the state-owned firm will provide a value added service, “BSNL Expert alerts” for all the cell one users in four states of South India namely Andhra Pradesh, Karnatka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The service will provide alerts on 21 subjects including cricket, astrology, news, health care and stock indexes, in SMS form and will charge the user either Rs 30 or Rs 25 depending upon the subject chosen by the subscriber.
