Netcore offers mobile email services to non-GPRS phones
TT Bureau |  |  16 Jun 2008

Netcore Solutions is all set to offer mobile email services to phones without a Global Positioning Radio System (GPRS) system. This will help the company to target the huge segment of subscribers with an ordinary phone.

The services will be available in rates varying from Rs.250 to Rs.1000 for an annual subscription. Presently the service is active only on gmail-ids and the company hopes to fork out deals with Yahoo, Rediff and other email service providers soon. For corporate customers the company will integrate the organisation’s server with Netcore server.

The company’s solution converts the email to an SMS of 480 characters thereby enabling subscribers to send or receive it on their ordinary mobile devices.
