Nuance Communications launches new search tool for mobile users in India

Nuance Communications Inc., a supplier of speech, smart keypad and imaging solutions, today said it offers T9 Nav, claimed to be a mobile discovery solution that will allow consumers to locate or discover applications, content and information on a mobile device in just a few key strokes.

The search tool is available via download for consumer evaluation trials in India.

Nuance claims that T9 Nav will enhance the mobile-user experience by letting users shunt tab-driven menu system extending a fast, direct and repeatable way to access feature and content on the mobile device. It is said that the search adjusts to user behavior over time, reordering and predicting frequently searched terms using patented algorithms from T9/XT9 software.

Furthermore, T9 Nav does not change the mobile device''s existing look and feel but works alongside of elements such as user interface (UI) and menu, said the company.
