Vodafone launches ‘Local Zone’ in New Zealand
TT Bureau |  |  30 Jun 2008

Vodafone announced the launch of new service, ‘local Zone’ which functions both as a landline and a mobile at homes or designated zones.

The service will provide users with two numbers and will allow users to answer all the calls from mobile phones irrespective of the fact whether they are made to landline or mobile number.

The company sees this an attempt to revive the fixed line business and claims that such a service has met considerable success in Germany.
