China Mobile invites bids for 40,000 mobile TV handsets

China Mobile has reportedly opened a bidding process for 40,000 units of mobile TV-equipped TD-SCDMA handsets wherein some of the bidders who have joined the tender include mobile phone makers like Lenovo, ZTE, Samsung and Coolpad

According to reports, China Mobile will utilize its China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) standard for Mobile TV.
