AT&T navigator to serve 20 other countries
TT Bureau |  |  23 Jul 2008

AT&T has announced the launch of “Navigator Global Edition” which will help to expand its GPS-navigation service beyond the United States.

The company will offer service to 20 other countries in their smartphones which are GPS enabled. Some of the targeted countries are in Western Europe, North America and the U.S. Caribbean, and also six cities in China.

Through this service, the customers can receive spoken or text based turn-by-turn directions in English, Italian or Spanish, and are rerouted automatically if they miss a turn, said the company. Further, it also includes a local “business finder” service, that helps customers to search the locations of businesses by category or by specific name with the click of a button.

The service is available on smartphone like the AT&T Tilt, Blackberry Pearl and the Blackberry Curve and will cost $19.98 per month, including domestic navigation.
