Chunghwa Telecom ties up with C-Com, Supa for GPS services

Chunghwa Telecom through its online yellow-page business, HiPage has entered into a partnership with C-Com Corp and Supa Technology Corp. to come out with mobile navigation services by the end of this year.

 

As per the partnership, all the three firms will jointly launch a global positioning system (GPS) platform in which HiPage will provide the phone number navigation service which will help users to find shops on mobile navigation device by entering the shop’s phone numbers. C-Com and Supa on the other hand will provide digitized maps and handheld devices respectively.

 

Planning to ship over 10,000 GPS-enabled handheld devices by year end, the companies will sell these products at below US$333.
