Nokia, Lonely Planet tie-up to offer Maps on mobiles
TT Bureau |  |  20 Aug 2008

In a bid to garner a share of the navigational services market, Nokia and Lonely Planet announced an alliance which will provide mobile users with maps and city guides.

The tie-up initially will offer download option for 100 popular tourist attractions at a charge of 7.99 euros($11.75).

“The Lonely Planet guides will help travelers to find great places to eat, shop and sleep, as well as describing the popular sights and nightlife for each destination,'' Nokia said.
