In a move to stay in the race alongside other US telecommunication players, wireless carrier T-Mobile on Wednesday said it has commenced high-speed data services in the twin cities, viz Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota, of US for users with compatible cell phones.
With its rival companies like AT&T, Sprint and Verizon offering 3G or the third generation of wireless technology for some time now, T-Mobile has joined the board with its 3G services.
The rolling out of 3G services particularly becomes a high point since it is expected that it will help the company attract wireless subscribers who want to do more than make voice calls.
Reports draw similarities between the 3G services offered by T-Mobile and AT&T, as both of them support only a smattering number of handsets. |
