 BSNL introduced its telecom services in Gnathang village of East Sikkim which is located at an altitude of 14,000 feet close to the Sino-India border at Nathu La.
Currently Village Public Telephone (VPT) connectivity and STD/PCO services are offered in the region with plans to introduce mobile services by March 2009. |
