 Use of mobile phones by a pregnant woman can significantly raise the risk of the unborn child developing behavioral problems in life, revealed a research published in ''Epidemiology' journal, which studied the health data of 13, 000 mothers admitted in early pregnancy in Denmark.
Besides, the use of mobile phone can also adversely affect the heart rate of the unborn child.
Even as less as two or three times a day use of mobile phones by pregnant woman exposes child to higher risk of hyperactivity and behavioral problems.
The findings also revealed that those who used mobile phones while pregnant were 54 percent more likely to report behavioral problems in their children, including hyperactivity and emotional and relationship difficulties than their counter part.
And children whose mothers had used phones while pregnant and who had used cells themselves before the age of seven are found to be 80 percent more likely to suffer from behavioral difficulties compared to youngsters who had not been exposed to mobile phone use.
Furthermore, those children are reveled to be 25 percent more at risk of emotional problems, 24 percent more likely to have difficulties relating to other children, 35 percent more likely to be hyperactive and 49 percent more likely to have problems with behavior. |
